Yoga Classes & Reiki Treatments

I offer a range of yoga classes that are accessible for just about everyone! Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced yoga practitioner, my classes aim to enhance your physical health, mental clarity, and emotional resilience.
Reiki treatments are offered alone or with yoga to bring peace and healing to your physical, mental, and spiritual being.

Vinyasa Flow

I will guide you through traditional series, sun salutations, classic poses, and gentle floor work. This is a slower flow style practice (holding poses for 1-5 breaths) to promote awareness and a greater connection of body and mind.

Private/Semi-Private Class

1-3 persons maximum. You will provide me with a goal/ailment you’d like to work on and I will tailor a class specifically for you. You will also receive a private link to a recording of the class for your personal practice if you wish (no extra charge).

Deep Stretch/Relaxation

Yin Yoga: A slow-paced, meditative class targeting deep connective tissues. Great for relaxation and flexibility.

Yoga Nidra: A very relaxed guided meditation class. They say this class can be more restful than a full night’s sleep.

Traditional Yoga

Ashtanga Vinyasa: A very structured and challenging class. This class will provide you with your cardio, strength, and stamina work-out for the day!
(Not for beginners)

Hatha Yoga: The first of the yoga asana practices. These classes are designed to work on a specific area of the body with increasing levels of intensity and hold times for poses until a peak pose is reached. After, a series of counter postures are given. The practice ends with a 10-15 minute meditation.
(Perfect for everyone!)

Natal/Seniors Yoga

Pre/Post Natal: Classes are designed for individual trimesters. There can be a “general” class, but mostly these will be offered for your needs at specific stages in your pregnancy/recovery.

Seniors Yoga: Designed for the aging body. Main goals are functional mobility, joint health, and increased flexibility. Option to use a chair for all or part of the practice if getting to the floor is not accessible.

Jikiden Reiki

Reiki is an energy healing modality that works with the body’s meridians in a similar way to acupuncture. I receive energy from the universe and I deliver it to you through my hands. Treatments for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing.

Treatments for pets and
long distance reiki also available.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yoga

How much is a class?

Class prices are dependent on class size and type. Please see the Pricing page for all of the pricing information.

What will a group yoga class be like?

You can expect Sun Salutations, static and dynamic postures, and often a short meditation.

What’s the cancelation/refund policy?

Group Class Passes are final sale and must be used within a period of time. Each registered for class follows the normal cancel/reschedule policy below.

Classes and treatments get a full refund on the payment if cancelled before 72 hours.

If cancelled after 72 hours but before 24 hours, you will receive credit for another class of the same value (must be used within 2 calendar months of the class/treatment eg. Class cancelled was May 5th, you must use the credit by July 5th).

If cancelled within 24 hours of the class/treatment the payment is forfeited. However, I’m not unfeeling and I can appreciate things happen, please reach out and we might find a solution.

How long are yoga classes?

A typical group yoga class is usually 60 minutes but a 1:1 class or a yoga/reiki fusion treatment can range from 30-90 minutes depending on focus and budget.

When should I arrive?

If it’s your first time and you haven’t previously filled out a form, come 10-15 minutes early to fill out the new student yoga form and waiver and the Get Active Questionnaire. Otherwise, 5-10 minutes before class is good. If you come more than 5 minutes late, you will not be granted entry. *Ashtanga Vinyasa you must be there AT LEAST 5 minutes early*

What should I wear?

Wear something that is comfortable and that you can move in. As my mother likes to say, “It’s not a fashion show.” I’m happy you’re able to come so come as you are.

What Should I Bring?

Mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, and even eye pillows for meditation are provided. If you prefer your own you may bring your own.
So, just bring your lovely self and an attitude of observation. I always say “leave your ego at the door and meet yourself where you are at today”.

Reiki

What is Reiki?

Reiki is an energy healing modality that works with the body’s meridians in a similar way to acupuncture. I practice Jikiden Reiki which is a hands-on treatment.

I receive energy from the universe and deliver it to your body. I am not giving you my energy, nor do I take yours. I will follow my intuition and the feedback I receive from your body to guide the treatment. The energy I release to you will course through your body helping removing toxins and provide physical and mental relief.

Many clients report an energy shift or like a block has been removed.

What is the cancellation policy?

Treatments get a full refund on the payment if cancelled before 72 hours of the appointment.

If cancelled after 72 hours but before 24 hours, you will receive credit for another treatment of the same value (must be used within 3 calendar months of the appointment eg. Appointment cancelled was March 5th, you must use the credit by June 5th).

If cancelled within 24 hours of the class/treatment the payment is forfeited. However, I am not unfeeling, so please reach out to me if something happened and I’m sure we can work something out.

I’ve heard of Usui Reiki…
Is Jikiden Reiki different?
?

Jikiden translates to: direct source. This means that Jikiden Reiki is still practiced in the same way from when it was discovered. Usui Reiki has taken on other healing practices and cultural energy centres (like chakras) in their healing practices. Jikiden Reiki is typically a much gentler energy healing method; this does not mean either is more effective than the other, simply different.

How much does a treatment cost and can I use my health benefits to pay??

The cost is dependant on length of the treatment: 30, 60 or 90 minutes

Unfortunately, at this time, reiki is not a recognized treatment by third party providers. So you will need to pay out of pocket.

What should I wear? Do I need to remove clothing for the treatment ??

No, you do not need to remove any clothing for the treatment Though it is a “hands-on” treatment it is done over clothing and a sheet. Because Jikiden Reiki comes from Japan, the head is also covered, so I will not touch your hair or top of the head without a barrier.

Wear something you can lay on a massage table comfortably in.
