Namaste & Welcome 🙏

Let me tell you a bit about myself. I have been practicing yoga for about 20 years. For a little over twelve years, I was working as a pastry chef, before I returned to University in 2021.  I am working on a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology. I love how yoga and reiki help me feel better and counteracts the stress and strain of work, school, and life.

I first learned about reiki while hitchhiking (ask me to tell you the story some time). In 2018, I took the first level of Jikiden Reiki course, Shoden for physical healing and a few months later the second level, Okuden for mental, spiritual, emotional, and long-distance treatments.

Soon after, I went to my first yoga teacher training in Bali for modern vinyasa and hatha yoga. My thirst for knowledge wasn’t quenched, so less than 3 months later, I travelled to India to learn from the source. There, I took natal yoga, ashtanga vinyasa and traditional hatha. I am regularly taking additional courses in yoga to freshen what I already know and add more to my roster.

My passions are functional mobility with strength and overall well-being. I love to see people achieve their goals and feel good in their bodies with my help. After graduation, I will have a yoga therapy clinic and I’ve long dreamt of having a yoga therapy resort with a micro bakery on-site.

My Philosophy

I believe in the power of education and the importance of proper alignment and awareness in our practice. My approach integrates extensive research with traditional techniques, ensuring you receive the most informed and safe guidance.

As I continue to expand my knowledge of the human body through my kinesiology undergraduate program, as well as my expertise in yoga with additional certifications, I bring a unique and knowledgeable perspective to every session. I want to empower you to have not only confidence in your healing, but the skills too!

Why choose my studio?

Passionate and Knowledgeable Instruction: I honour the practices I have been granted the permission to share with you. With modern science and respect for traditional knowledge and practices, I teach yoga in a way that you will take away more than a workout or stretch. My commitment to continuous learning means I will always strive to keep you appraised on any new research.

Safe and Nurturing Environment: I try my best to create an inclusive environment where people are comfortable to be themselves. I want you to be able to relax and feel like you can let go of the outside world for a little while to achieve optimal healing and progress.

Unique Offerings:

  • Boutique group classes with no more than 8 people (10 in Traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa)
to allow for more attentive care for each student.
  • More vulnerable populations like pre-natal and seniors will only have 6 participants in a class.
  • Option for private recordings of your yoga class so you can practice at home no extra charge. (For private, semi-private, and small group classes).
