Frequently Asked Questions!

Yoga

How much is a class?

Class prices are dependent on class size and type.
Please see the Pricing page for all of the pricing information.

What’s the cancelation/refund policy?

Class Passes are final sale and Non-transferrable.
8 Class Passes
must be used within 10 weeks.
4 Class Passes must be used within 5 weeks.

Each registered for class follows the cancel/reschedule policy below.

If you are the person to book a “create you own drop-in class”, this payment is final sale. If using a class pass slot it is not transferrable to another class. If you cancel after creation, you will have used a class slot regardless of notice. (Unless your spot is able to be filled)

Drop-in/Private classes get a full refund on the payment/deposit if cancelled before 48 hours.

If cancelled after 48 hours but before 12 hours, you will receive credit for another class of the same value (must be used within 14 days of the class/treatment eg. Class cancelled was May 5th, you must use the credit by July 5th).

If cancelled within 12 hours of the class/treatment the payment is forfeited. However, I’m not unfeeling and I can appreciate things happen, please reach out and we might find a solution.

When should I arrive?

If it’s your first time and you haven’t previously filled out an intake/waiver form, come 10-15 minutes early to fill it out.
Otherwise, 5-10 minutes before class is good. If you come more than 5 minutes late, you will not be granted entry (except for Mommy/Parent classes as kids are not easy to wrangle all the time haha!)
*Ashtanga Vinyasa you must be there AT LEAST 5 minutes early*

What should I wear?

Wear something that is comfortable and that you can move in. As my mother likes to say, “It’s not a fashion show.” I’m happy you’re able to come so come as you are.

What Should I Bring?

Mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, and eye pillows for meditation are provided. If you prefer your own you may bring your own.
So, just bring your lovely self and an attitude of observation. Leave your ego at the door and meet yourself where you are.

Reiki

What is Reiki?

Reiki is an energy healing modality that works with the body’s meridians in a similar way to acupuncture. I practice Jikiden Reiki which is a hands-on treatment.

I receive energy from the universe and deliver it to your body. I am not giving you my energy, nor do I take yours. I will follow my intuition and the feedback I receive from your body to guide the treatment. The energy I release to you will course through your body helping removing toxins and provide physical and mental relief. Many clients report an energy shift or like a block has been removed.

Session costs are dependent on the service.
Please see the Pricing page for all of the pricing information.

I’ve heard of Usui Reiki…
Is Jikiden Reiki different?

Jikiden translates to: direct source. This means that Jikiden Reiki is still practiced in the same way from when it was discovered. Usui Reiki has taken on other healing practices and cultural energy centres (like chakras) in their healing practices. Jikiden Reiki is typically a much gentler energy healing method; this does not mean either is more effective than the other, simply different.

What’s the cancelation/refund policy?

Treatments get a full refund on the payment/deposit if cancelled before 48 hours of the appointment.

If cancelled after 48 hours but before 24 hours, you will receive credit for another treatment of the same value (must be used within 14 days of the appointment eg. Appointment cancelled was March 5th, you must use the credit by March 19th).

If cancelled within 24 hours of the session the payment is forfeited. However, I am not unfeeling, so please reach out to me if something happened and I’m sure we can work something out.

How much does a treatment cost and can I use my benefits to pay?

The cost is dependant on length of the treatment: 30, 60 or 90 minutes (see the pricing page)

I don’t direct bill, but some insurance companies cover things like yoga and/or reiki ask your provider. If they do, I’m more than happy to provide an official receipt.

What should I wear? Do I need to remove clothing for the treatment?

Wear something you can lay on a massage table comfortably in.
No, you do not need to remove any clothing for the treatment. It is a “hands-on” treatment and is done over clothing and a sheet. Jikiden Reiki comes from Japan and therefore, the top of the head is also covered.
